FIGBREW LAUNCHES COMMUNITY INVEST ROUND ON WEFUNDER
Press Releases
Information
Huntsville, AL August 21, 2024 – Beanless coffee supplement manufacturer FigBrew has recently launched its community invest round on WeFunder to rapidly expand its subscription business. Co-founders Marianne and Andy Whitehead started shipping product in 2021 with the goal of addressing the health and sustainability issues of coffee. Since launch, FigBrew have won multiple awards at some of the largest coffee festivals in the US – the first time a beanless coffee product has ever done this.
With 1/8th the water footprint and 1/13th the carbon footprint in a cradle-to-grave analysis with
traditional coffee, FigBrew products to date have offset the planting of 12,000 coffee trees (and accompanying deforestation) and saved 740,000-gals of water along with 147,000-kg of carbon compared to traditional coffee. They have also demonstrated that great taste is not a barrier to sustainability and, being made from upcycled organic figs, also not a barrier to price relief for squeezed consumers. “We’re ecstatic about the recognition and excitement we’ve created over the last three years and are grateful to our loyal customers. In return, we’re offering them the opportunity to own a personal stake in the future of the coffee culture” says FigBrew Co-founder Marianne Whitehead. “We set out to create a coffee culture that was more inclusive, resilient, and planet-friendly and are proud of what we’ve been able to accomplish in just a few years.”
FigBrew aim to be the first company in Alabama’s largest city to complete a WeFunder campaign. Customers and fans can own a stake in the company’s success for as little as $100 under the experience of a lead investor on WeFunder with its community of four million investors.
