Rye Resurgence Project

The Rye Resurgence Project (RRP) is a community-rooted, market-building effort, working to grow awareness and demand for San Luis Valley-grown, high-alpine rye to secure a sustainable future for this unique agricultural region of Colorado. RRP represents several varieties of heritage rye grown with minimal water use and regenerative soil practices by a collective of 10 San Luis Valley farmers. The RRP develops partnerships with businesses and brands looking to make big impacts in water, food systems, and community, all while crafting delicious rye products with a unique high-alpine terroir. RRP works with its partners to tell the story of rye and the San Luis Valley to consumers and the general public, working together to connect people to food, farmers, and place.
