Patsie Girl was initially created out of a need to have hair care products that didn't strip my hair of moisture, leaving it dry and unmanageable. However, during the course of research, I learned that 75% of personal care products targeting black women contain harmful ingredients and toxins (parabens, phthalates, sulfates, etc.)
Further research exposed that parabens are disrupters to the endocrine system and has been linked to thyroid function issues.
My story is, I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism at the age of 30, with the cause highly likely due to the ingredients in the body lotion I used for over a decade.
This fueled my passion to create products that only contains simple, yet effective, high quality, natural ingredients for women of color.
