BEJOU is a celebration of beauty's purest form, where skincare meets nutrition and mental wellness.
Born from a vision to create skincare that deeply comprehends and tenderly cares for you - just as you are, BEJOU brings together the BEJOU trifecta: skin, mind, and body.
Growing up in Colombia and fleeing the guerilla warfare, we found solace in the United States where skincare became my sanctuary- a blend of wellness and self-care, in the turmoil of depression, anxiety amid my mother's separation and alcoholic and abusive father.
Yet, this sanctuary became a source of distress and increased depression and low-self-esteem as my sensitive skin reacted to the harsh, chemical-laden products that filled the shelves, triggering my asthma & allergies. The struggle to find effective, gentle, and eco-friendly products was amplified by my family's history of cystic acne and rosacea, fueling my desire to inspire others to embrace their true selves.
Thus, BEJOU was born in 2022, embodying resilience, connection, transparency, authenticity, vulnerability, and the transformative power of skincare.
Inspired by my South American heritage, BEJOU embraces the exotic richness of South American ingredients. We prioritize natural, organic, affordable luxury in sustainable packaging. We formulate with asthma, allergy, and reactive skin in mind. We introduce a new skin ritual- the intertwining of skincare, well-being, and holistic wellness.
BEJOU is driven by an unwavering commitment to empower our community with skincare journey and overall well-being. We understand the deep emotional toll of navigating skincare and mental health adversities, especially when life gets tough and aim to support you.
