Heraclea's story started back in November 2021, born from the ambitious vision of Berk and Sena, a couple deeply entrenched in the corporate world as lawyers. As attorneys, they realized the limitations of their potential to build bridges between nations, create a unique product from scratch, and significantly improve people's livelihoods. On top of that, having spent over a decade in the States, Berk never encountered the distinctive taste of the olive oil his mother used during his childhood in the Aegean.
It was this longing for authenticity and a desire for meaningful impact that inspired the transformation of Berk's family hobby into a profitable enterprise. Despite initial resistance from his family (except for his father), Berk knew this was his destiny. So, he embarked on a journey to Spain, immersed himself in olive oil courses, devoured books on agriculture and production, and meticulously constructed Heraclea's business plan.
Heraclea, named after the ancient Greek city which symbolized resilience, strength, and unity, is more than an olive oil producer. It represents the couple's determination to introduce the world to the most flavorful, unique olive oil they knew - the olive oil of their homeland.
The brand's ethos is deeply rooted in community and sustainability. Heraclea's presence in the Aegean region has brought jobs to the local village and instigated community projects like road building.
